Gouache on illustration board. This character was originally created as a mascot for my online shop where I sell prints and gifts. He was inspired by my own pet hedgehog, Baxter.

2011 NHPR Art Mug

Winner of New Hampshire Public Radio’s art mug competition. This painting layout was created to accommodate the wrap format of the mug. Art mugs are given away as gifts during the pledge drive. Logo design for the Core Concepts series published by Staff Development for Educators. Core Concepts is a one-page strategy-rich quick reference tool for teachers. The style was designed to match the look and feel of the 2016 brochures and program guide. Each color corresponds to the color theme assigned to individual grade levels. In-house product design for Staff Development for Educators. These cards were designed to teach students how to visually scan text more efficiently for reading and writing. Each set is designated with its own color and symbol, so that teachers can mix up the sets and words, easily sort them, or use them to differentiate in their classroom. Dark King Chocolate Bar Packaging

Student work: Conceptual packaging design for a series of Stephen King themed gourmet chocolate bars. Each bar is inspired by a different book by the master of horror. “Firestarter” is a chili-infused chocolate, “Insomnia” is a chocolate bar filled with crunchy espresso beans, and “Misery” is an extra bitter dark chocolate bar with a high cacao content. Good Boy Pocket Folder System

Student Work: Branding—Pocket Folder System. Includes folder, letterhead, business card, and booklet. I invented the fictitious Good Boy as an eco-friendly dog supply company. Their goal is to create happy healthy lives for dogs through natural and organic food, bedding, toys, and other pet care products. Call for Entries Poster/Mailer

Student Work: Design for a conceptual contest titled Living Environments for the Inner City—requesting submissions for creative, modern and affordable solutions for inner city housing. Displayed are both the front and back side of the call for entries poster, which can be folded in quarters and sent out as a mailer. Inspired by the light in Edward Hopper’s paintings, the images in this series are meant to recall memories of warmth and home.

 

TalkBack Magazine

Student Work: Conceptual magazine—TalkBack magazine is a publication focused on often controversial issues facing today’s society. The magazine not only dives into these topics, but encourages their readers to take action. Edgier type and unusual images are used to attract the readership of younger activists.
