15 Oct My Saturday and an HGTV Update
I spent a lovely Saturday afternoon today at NHPR my friend, Kim Beers of Woof Purr Creations. We volunteered to answer phones for the pledge drive. I even got to tell one woman who was receiving the art mug as a thank-you gift that I was the artist. I felt like a quasi-celebrity for about 5 seconds. Also, I’m happy to say that I got a chance to look at the art mug in person, and it’s much nicer than in photos! The colors look pretty good. Of course, there’s nothing like original artwork for vibrancy, but all in all it’s a lovely mug if I do say so myself. (And I do.)
Other breaking news in my life…it seems as though an air date has finally been set for my episode of That’s Clever! Get up early, grab a cup of coffee, and sit down to watch me on HGTV November 14th at 7:00 a.m. before you head into work. Or, sleep in and set your DVR. It’s all the same to me, as long as you watch! Warning: the show is a bit on the silly side so if you’re expecting a serious craft lesson, you’re going to be met with goofy puns and me running around like a manic. Informative, yet a little nutty. Which pretty much describes me, so I suppose that’s fine. Here’s a little sneak preview of one of the items I’ll be making:
I’m holding my original prototype for my diva pig…I made her waaaay back in the day and I’ll never sell her. She’s looking a little rough around the edges these days anyway. Here are what my new batch of pigs look like (this one is from the same batch that will appear on HGTV):
